Day 4- June 21, 2006
One very cool thing about being so far north is the 24 hours of sun. I was concerned that the 24 hours of light would make it more difficult to fall asleep, but what I didn't expect was my difficulty staying asleep. I had no problem falling asleep but my mind would play games on me through out the night. I woke up three times because of the sun. Each time I thought it was morning. At 2:30AM I thought my watch had stopped and was worried I'd sleep in. As a result the combination of my worrying about sleeping in from a broken watch and the 24 hours of sunlight I didn't sleep very well. When my watch said 6:30AM I got up thinking I overslept.
