The last few evenings I’ve been forcing myself to break out of my routine to get down to the beach at sunset. Around this time of year San Francisco has its summer and this evenings summer sun was worth enjoying. For those of you that aren’t familiar with San Francisco… the normal summer timeframe is often foggy and cold especially at the beach.

Photos from Day 12 of my trip to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge have been added to my web site. Although the weather on this day wasn’t magical, the flat lighting allowed for some great shooting, photographically speaking, of elusive wildlife and amazing arctic wildflowers. By far the cute factor for the subjects photographed on this day outweighed all the previous days combined, although as is apparent from the photo below the cute factor does not influence or repell mosquitoes (see the top of the middle Arctic Ground Squirrel).
