This is something that didn’t get a lot of attention, but it speaks to the resilience of nature when protection is given. Beavers… yes beavers have started to show up in New York City rivers. It’s been 200 years since they were hunted out of existence in the area. Sad when you think that the Beaver is on NYC’s official seal and only now are they making a comeback in the area.

Lets hope that they make it back to a healthy population.
