Normally I don’t focus on gear, but because I’ve been waiting for news of the next generation of Canon 1Ds this leak (Thanks Amazon.com) is of particular interest to me.

After using the 1Ds Mark II (16 megapixels), thanks to some generous friends, I’ve come to appreciate the improved resolution. The difference from my 1D Mark II is night and day and the ability to yield high resolution prints even from a substantially cropped image is quite a nice luxury. It pays to dream…
