Nuclear Free Zone Sign – Berkeley, California
The other day I rediscovered a photo of one of my favorite signs found here in the San Francisco bay area. This “Nuclear Free Zone” sign in Berkeley, California has always intrigued me. The rebellious yet principled attitude of Berkeley stands out with this one sign. It’s as much a classic landmark to me as any of the other well known iconic landmarks in the area.

I wonder if they know that a town called Berkeley in England has the UK’s first commercial nuclear powerstation ?
