The beautiful thing about California is that there are so many amazing places to take in and photograph sunrise. I’m impartial to nature and landscape subjects such as Yosemite National Park, but even catching sunrise over downtown Los Angeles can be dramatic. I couldn’t decide which sunrise photo to post, so I posted both. Here’s to a beautiful sunrise near you.

I’m partial to nature as well, but the L.A. photo is truly something special! great work man. The one thing I’m definetely partial toward though is sunset instead of sunrise… ;-)

Impartial to nature and landscape photos such as Yosemite??? Impartial? That’s a typo, write? :)

Yosemite Valley is one tricky spot to get good sunrise shots. Much more of a challenge just due to the dramatic wall of mountains directly to the east.

@Gary Of course I’m partial to nature and landscape photos. The typos I’ll make to grab an extra comment LOL Actually my typo was a result of a very late night post. Thanks for pointing that out :)

As for getting a good sunrise photo in Yosemite valley you’re absolutely right. The valley walls and eastern peaks keep the majority of the valley in the shade. At the same time that shade creates some very unique photo opportunities albeit challenging ones.
