“Best Photos From 2007″ by JMG-Galleries Blog Reader’s
Posted in Photography, Updates & Announcements by JimThe end of 2007 was full of “best of” lists, but over the past year I’ve found that many readers of the JMG-Galleries blog are incredibly talented photographers in their own right and deserved their own “best of photo” attention. The results of this “Best Photos From 2007″ blog project puts a twist to the normal “best of photo” list by aggregating links to the work of 29 photographers from around the globe who are passionate and dedicated to their craft. As you’ll see from the results below 2007 was a great year for photographers and I hope that 2008 proves to be an even better year.
Enjoy and good luck picking out your favorite from these great submissions!

Holy cow! That’s a pretty decent turnout! I’ve taken a first glance through all of the entries, and I’m really impressed with the overall quality (and frankly, I’m totally stunned by a few of these photographers). I’ll definitely be spending some time working my way through all of these in more detail. This was a great year-end project Jim — nice work on hosting the whole thing!

@Brian considering hot much of a challenge it is to pick out photos from a years worth of images I too thought this was a great turnout. I too am catching up on everyones submissions. There is a lot of great stuff out there.
@Antoine Thanks! With the number of submissions to the project, most will need some time to adequately take in all the submissions. It’s been great to see what everyone has been photographing.
@George Same. It never ceases to amaze me how many photographers are out there under the radar. I’m looking forward to tracking the work of many of the readers here.

G Dan Mitchell | Photography » A Best of Best Lists?

[...] Jim M Goldstein has compiled a list of the “best of the year” images from a bunch of photographers who read his blog. I think it is interesting to see how photographers regard their own work, and these individual “best of” lists are a great resource… and a lot of fun to look at. Kudos to Jim for putting this list together and sharing it! [...]

[...] Photographer Jim Goldstein set up a project where online photographers would blog their top ten photographs for 2007. While Jim actually blogged sixteen of his top 2007 photographs (he had six honorable mentions), I will post my top 10. Fortunately, it wasn’t too hard to come up with a list because I put photographs into a set at Flickr for my yearly favorites. The hard part was choosing only ten of those photographs. [...]
