I have been thinking for sometime whether I should be having a blog or not. But now I have finally decided to have a blog. The name of my blog is - My Third Eye. In recent times I have discovered a genuine fondness for photography. Capturing the world and its people in still images is a very difficult task. But right now I am trying. I am serious about this hobby. And I will carry on with it for years to come.

In my new blog I have posted a few pictures that I have taken in recent times. There are four categories. There is also another category which has my sketches. The URL is: http://clickmoments.blogspot.com/

I will be glad if you pay a visit to it and post your thoughts. I hope others will pour their thoughts in soon. You can even vote in the voting machine at the bottom of my blog. You may even be my follower if you want to. By clicking the 'Follow this blog' link on the top left of this page, you may add yourself to the list of my followers. I will be extremely glad.

"...tool often held in the hand of amateurs..." What does that mean? I guess many of the folks in this thread were born as professional photographers and didn't find any value in experimenting to find out what works for them and what doesn't. Yes, it can be overused. Yes, it has been overused (many times), but so have many other forms of art. People need to get off of their high horse and quit thinking that they produce images that are so beautiful and technically perfect that everybody elses must be crap in comparison. I've seen a lot of art in museums that, frankly, I don't know how it got there in the first place. I look at, decide I don't care for it, and move on. But I don't go around writing articles stating that everybody who uses that technique is a dolt just because I don't care for it.

*sniff* Your words were beautiful *sniff* I couldn't agree more. In my Genre of wdding photography, of course it is not unethical, but I stay away from it for the most part. Mainly because I don't want my work to be DATED.....like puffy shoulders on wedding dresses and huge bangs on woman. While it's not unethical, I do wonder why fellow wedding photographers feel the need to heavily manipulate.
