Didn't know it was in Seattle...yah! I'll look into it and if I'm back from my travels in time, I would love to go. So much to learn....Today I took some images into our local photoshop for extra help in the printing and last night sent another photographer some images to send in and print on metallic papers just to see the difference...can't wait to see the results.
I'm finding I'm intrigued with the finer details that a good paper can accomadate but gets lost often through my home printer or even Costco...refinement in an image.

I live near San Francisco. I have an Epson 3800. I certainly need a review of color space management as I'm never quite satisfied or confident of my settings. I've think that most of my images are best seen as prints (old school). I've done some home printing and my favorites are those that are much finer and go beyond the view realized on screen. I'd love to learn how to dependably get the results I now only accidently/occasionally achieve. I would definitely benefit, as "trial and error" is currently my only instructor. I would be a "blank slate", ready to consume the offerings in full.

I have read many books and watched numerous videos regarding printing. Sources such as Digital Outback Photo's Fine art printing, Luminous Landscape Printing Videos and others. There is so much information out there that it is hard to put it all together. This seminar would allow me to put it all together with feed back from others.

I could attend San Francisco.

Thank you Juha for pointing that out. It was a personal choice on my end. Now I must connect with you and discuss hiking in Finland!

Thank you for taking time to respond.

I'd like to learn which types of images look better on certain paper vs. others. I'd also like to improve my workflow. I live near Seattle.

I feel like my photography is where it needs to be, but I don't have much print knowledge. This would help out tremendously! I think the LA one would work best for me simply because of timing.

While this is something that everyone should be aware, I would like to point out that Jim has not left flickr for it. He still has pro account and is posting new photographs on regular basis.

Anyway, is there a website to avoid all these scams and unwanted programs and which has all the lists of scams and unwanted programs such as yasasoft? If so, that would be very useful and in the future i hope that people should be more cautious about downloading any program off the internet. Any questions or commments you would like to discuss with me? Please e-mail me on drkzin1@gmail.com
Thanks
