Going to a football game, and I couldn't afford great seats. The Nikon 200-400mm f/4G AF-S VR IF-ED would be awesome.

I would love to try the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM
[Reply]
I played a bit with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM at PhotoPlus Expo at the Javits last thursday. I was impressed by its mechanics and apparent optical quality and was thinking of adding it to my collection as my first low light level prime. I loved using the 50mm f/1.4 on my old Nikon F and miss having one for my Canon 5DMkII. I usually rent first, and this would be a great opportunity to test this one out.
Here is a Flickr posting in which I mention you and Borrowlenses.com.
Thanks for the blog and the contest

I would love a chance to play with the Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 AF-S. My 10 minutes use of the lens last night has convinced me that I need to rent one soon anyway.

I recently shot the Olympic speed skating trials and felt kind of piddly sittin next to the guy shooting with the Canon 400mm 2.8. My 70-200 just wasn't cutting it. I'd love to try one of those out. Or maybe a 1D body.

I assume this contest is still open — I just saw it referred to on twitter, and I see people are still entering today… but the deadline in the post “Sunday, November 1 at midnight” would have actually been Saturday night / Sunday morning, since “midnight” is really the start of a day, but I assume the intent was Sunday night / Monday morning (Nov 1 23:59 or Nov 2 00:00 PT)?
