Its an exciting weekend here in San Francisco as its Fleet Week and that means the Blue Angels are performing. It used to be that the Blue Angels would return to San Francisco every year, but that has not been true the past 4 years as they now visit every other year. Like clockwork I make it out to get my best photo of the performance. Having photographed numerous Blue Angel performances here in San Francisco it neve
Had a chance to get out and take advantage of an approaching front of stormy clouds at sunset this weekend. I ended up wedging myself into the rocks and braved a few scares of larger waves reaching me. I timed it so that my bravery coincided with a turning tide to minize any risk. Ironically it was only upon leaving and climbing over some rocks far from where I had been that a large wave got me slightly wet. Luckily

For some reason the serene early morning reflection of the amazing cliff walls and trees struck a nerve with me and I realized I was hooked not just on photography
It’s been about 4 years since I’ve been to Yosemite National Park and stayed on the valley floor. This past weekend was beautiful and not too crowded, but still above average in attendance. A few things have changed since my last visit including the change in access to Yosemite Falls and the addition of hybrid bus lines. All in all the atmosphere was nice, but still a little more crowded than I would pref
For those just finding my site for the first time I have been documenting a recent trip to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with in the “Articles” section of my web site. Updates include daily highlights and images. So far 10 days have been posted of the 12 days in the field. The trip was centered around the filming of an episode of “Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe”, a TV program / Natur
