As has become a tradition on the JMG-Galleries blog I’d like to invite you to take part in the 4th annual best photos of the year blog project. This is by far my most popular blog project. Year over year this project has continued to see a 30% increase in participation with last years participation hitting 124 participants (see Best Photos of 2009, Best Photos of 2008 and Best Photos of 2007). Last week I stumbled across a local service here in San Francisco that offers a very cool photo product that allows you to quickly make a custom photo collage wall display. Fittingly the service is named Collagewall. To give you an idea of what they do see their website at Collagewall.com and the Collagewall Flickr photostream. The holidays are around the corner and the kind folks at Collagewall have made available a
This Halloween is a little different this year compared to last in my household. Humans are now out numbering canines in the photo assistant department. I still look back fondly at the 2008 photo assistant and 2007 photo assistant halloween photos with Curly, Moe and Zoe. This year Blake (the penguin in case you were confused) is the newest addition and I think it’s fair to say he stole the show… althou

To see some of the other great photos taken check out the Sutro Baths Pho

If you’re curious to learning more on my thoughts I highly recommend you read a response I made to a comment by Don Giannatti (@Wizwow). While my original post highlights some
This past Saturday I led the Sutro Baths Photo Walk here in San Francisco and was joined by a group of great photographers from all over northern California. This particular photo walk was one of many held on Saturday as part of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk event. The weather was typical for San Francisco summers and ideal for longer exposure photography. For those that stuck it out there were great photo opp
It’s that time of year again. July 24th I’m going to be leading a photowalk here in San Francisco as part of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk mega-event. Last years photowalk through North Beach was a lot of fun with lots of great photos taken, but this year I’m going to be sharing a favorite spot of mine… Sutro Baths and Lands End. We’ll be meeting in front of Louis’, a small
